The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services level made for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service sassa status check point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp sassa on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
